Q + A

Is there a hotel block anywhere?

Unfortunately, no. We contacted hotels throughout the area but weren’t able to secure a room block due to another wedding and high demand that weekend. If you plan to stay in a hotel, book as early as possible—Best Western Plus Hood River Inn opens reservations six months in advance, and the Hood River Hotel will release a limited number of rooms during the second week of February. Columbia Gorge Hotel has a full private block and is not releasing rooms to the public at this time. Other options include Horsefeather Hotel, Hood River Adventure Lodge, and chains like Holiday Inn Express. There are also great Airbnb/vacation rentals, and guests are welcome to camp on the farm the night of the wedding.

What is the attire for the wedding?

Semi formal - ultimately, come in whatever you are comfortable wearing. Bring a sweater or jacket, it will get chilly at night.

Where is the wedding?

At Astrion Orchards: 4374 Willow Flat Road, Hood River, OR.

GPS doesn't get me to the right place, where do I go?

GPS is unreliable for our address. Take Willow Flat Road all the way down until it either continues left up hill, or makes a hard right down a gravel road. Take that right (don't go straight up the gravel road), and then take your first left after that. Look for a house with a red roof, barking dogs, and rowdy chickens.

How did you meet?

Skiing Mt. Hood Meadows.

Is there a welcome party theme?

YES! Our welcome party theme is Grateful Dead/deadhead vibes. Come in your best tie-dye, denim, band tees, and any other groovy vintage fare.

What is there to do in Hood River?

Hood River is known for its hiking, mountain biking, wineries, breweries, farms, and so much more. For the adventurous spirits Tamanawas Falls is a beautiful and short hike (~3.5 miles round trip) with a stunning waterfall. Post Canyon offers incredible mountain biking and scenic views (there are places downtown to rent gear and bikes). For those looking for great views or a more relaxed pace, Hood River Lavender Farm offers both. They also have a winery on the property, and u-pick lavender fields. Downtown Hood River also has plenty of great breweries, restaurants, and fun shops to explore.
